Advisor and Mentor Support for Students

Knowing when to ask for help is an essential academic skill. At Texas Success Academy (TSA), we encourage both high school learners and adult learners to view support as a strength—not a setback. Reaching out early can prevent small challenges from becoming larger obstacles.

It is not always easy to recognize when assistance is needed. You might notice difficulty understanding new material, falling behind on assignments, feeling overwhelmed 😓, or losing motivation. These are normal experiences, but they are also signals that it may be time to seek guidance.

🚩 Signs It May Be Time to Reach Out:

  • You are unsure about assignment instructions or expectations.
  • Your grades begin to decline.
  • You feel consistently stressed or discouraged.

You are balancing school with work or family responsibilities.

🤝 Support Is Available

Students are encouraged to reach out to their advisor or mentor whenever questions or concerns arise. Whether you need help understanding coursework, planning your schedule, or discussing future goals, TSA’s advising team is here to support you.

In addition, students can access UpChieve for free, on-demand tutoring support 📚. UpChieve connects learners with live tutors who can assist with academic subjects, homework questions, and exam preparation. It is an excellent resource when you need immediate academic support.

Asking for help demonstrates responsibility and commitment to your success. At TSA, you are not expected to navigate challenges alone. Taking initiative to seek support is a proactive step toward staying confident, motivated, and on track toward your goals.
