Angelo State University: College Opportunities for TSA Students
Angelo State University (ASU) is offering several exciting opportunities for prospective students this spring. From on-campus admissions events to honors programs and scholarships, TSA students are encouraged to explore what ASU has to offer and take advantage of upcoming deadlines.
Spring Admissions Events at Angelo State University
ASU is welcoming prospective students and their families to campus through a variety of Spring Admissions Events. These events provide an excellent opportunity to explore campus life, meet faculty and staff, and learn more about academic programs.
All events include customizable information sessions, a guided campus tour, and a complimentary lunch for students.
Upcoming Events:
Ram Preview Day:
Monday, February 16 (Presidents’ Day) through Saturday, April 18Admitted Student Day:
Fridays on February 7, February 20, and March 13
Students are encouraged to reserve spots early, as space is limited and fills quickly.
Apply for the ASU Honors Program
Students looking to enhance their academic experience may apply to the Angelo State University Honors Program. The application is currently open, and reviews will continue until all available spots are filled. Please note that students must be admitted to ASU before applying.
For priority consideration, students are encouraged to apply by February 1.
Honors Program Benefits Include:
Smaller, discussion-based classes
Priority registration
Enhanced academic and leadership opportunities
An additional $3,000 per year through the ASU Distinguished Scholarship
Texas Leadership Scholars Program
High-achieving students with demonstrated financial need are encouraged to apply for the Texas Leadership Scholars (TLS) Program. This competitive program provides financial assistance along with valuable academic and leadership support.
Application Deadline:
Tuesday, February 17 at 11:59 PM
Important Reminder: Scholarships & FAFSA
Admitted TSA seniors should be reminded to complete both:
ASU’s General Scholarship Application
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Submitting both by the January 15 priority review date is strongly recommended, as students who meet this deadline are among the first considered for awards. While applications are still accepted after this date, early submission increases opportunities for financial aid.
The FAFSA may be submitted at any time; however, a financial aid offer cannot be prepared until it is completed.
Final Note for TSA Students
These opportunities are a great way for Texas Success Academy students to explore college options, prepare for next steps, and access financial and academic support. We encourage students and families to stay informed, meet deadlines, and take advantage of these valuable resources.
